REFORMER
This popular type of Pilates training has the ability to challenge the most athletic and fit while providing a sophisticated yet appropriate set of exercises to anyone in need of rehabilitation after surgery, illness or injury. Many people prefer Reformer Pilates over Matwork as it provides the muscles more of a direct proprioceptive feedback from the resistant weighted springs. Reformer Pilates is also well known for the unique way in which it lengthens the body, strengths the core, promotes skeletal alignment and good spinal health.
The Reformer is incredibly versatile. There are literally hundreds of exercises that are performed lying down, sitting, kneeling, standing, and even upside down, so you’ll never get bored. There are also a few ‘add-on’ pieces of equipment including the Cardio-Tramp: a vertical trampoline that adds more challenge and even more fun!
Classes are limited to no more than 6 people (on 6 Reformers) so that the teacher can ensure everyone is working safely and correctly.
