FOR THOSE WHO ARE
NEW TO PILATES
You may have been advised by your physiotherapist or a friend to do Pilates but aren’t sure how to start or what all the fuss is about!
No matter your age, gender or previous exercise experience, if you’re new to Pilates you will need to learn some fundamental basics to ensure continued success.
Your first step as a newcomer is to book a private 1:1 session so we can go through your health questionnaire, discuss your needs or goals, assess your ability and make sure you are comfortable using the Reformer. We advise first learning Pilates on the Reformer as it provides your body with guidance and feedback that Matwork does not offer in the same supportive way. You can book your Newcomer session with one of our specialist teachers as a 1:1, or with a friend or family member as a 1:2. After your Newcomer Introductory session, you will be able to join our Foundation level group classes. Our Back to Health classes are also available if needed.
All new clients will currently receive their first 1:1 or 1:2 Newcomer Introductory session with a special offer discount code at checkout.
It won’t be long before you start to feel and see the benefits of this unique method of body conditioning that everyone raves about, and perhaps explore the different types of Pilates classes we offer.
In the meantime if you’d like to find out more, or have any questions regarding suitability, we warmly invite you to contact the studio owner Nikki by WhatsApp message to arrange a call to discuss any queries you may have. Otherwise, please download the Encore Pilates app to get booked in.
HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE
New clients will need to complete a hard copy of our Health Questionnaire which can be completed upon arrival at the studio using our pre-printed forms. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can download and print the form from here, complete at home and bring with you to your first session.
