MATWORK

Pilates Matwork is a low-impact, yet challenging, exercise workout performed on the mat. Joseph Pilates’ Matwork repertoire was always seen as the pinnacle of his work, using gravity and continuous full body movements to challenge the mind and body.

 

These classes are suitable for those who have built a good level of strength, mobility, and control on the Reformer, and are looking for an extra challenge without the support of the Reformer carriage and its pulleys.

 

Expect a strong workout with a blend of traditional Pilates’ Matwork, some standing exercises and the use of various additional equipment, such as hands weights and barrels.

 

One Reformer class and one Matwork class per week is a fantastic way to stay in good shape.

 

Classes are limited to no more than 9 people.
